Matchbox Animal Rescue
An Australian release this is one of the more interesting of my Code 1s. I really like that it’s themed by the release country with a crocodile logo.
Description
Released in Australia this blue on blue model features a yellow rooflight and yellow tampos. While it’s not the fanciest one in my set I really like that it speaks to the “Australia” market with the depiction of a crocodile as the logo of the animal rescue. I’m not certain if it was ever part of a set, but it’s a great piece and someday I hope to get a version that is “mint” to add to my collection.
TAMPOS:
- Yellow stripes on each side from nose to tail
- “R4-180” on front quarter panels
- Shield logo overlain by a crocodile on each door.
- Larger Shield logo overlain by a crocodile on hood with “ANIMAL RESCUE” above
