Matchbox Holiday Club – Macau
Released in both 1987 and 1988 the Holiday Club is one of the harder to find Matchbox Cherokee models. Also unique to this model is it’s base color of a beige / tan color. A lesser seen model the Holiday Club is a great addition to my collection. This model is identical in all ways to the Thailand produced model, which only differs based on the base stamping.
Description
A code 1, it seems it was more readily available in Europe than in the US and was sold as part of a Twin Pack set, with a matching trailer. I’ve not managed to score one of the trailers yet but someday… As an earlier model it has a metal base and was produced in both Macau and Thailand.
TAMPOS:
- Green stripes separated by a gap on each side. The green stripes have relief areas making up the upper and lower sections of “Holiday Club” in a script font. The gap area includes the center section of “Holiday Club” with tampos in Red to fill in the gap of relief areas.
