Greenlight Black Bandit
The “Black Bandit” series included the third Greenlight Cherokee to be released. The Black Bandit Cherokee is a 198A model done in all black with chrome front and rear bumpers. The front bumper features a license plate with two B, the first reversed. The same license plate is used on the rear of the vehicle.
Description
Listed as a 1985 Jeep Cherokee this model also has the “V6 2.8L” stamping which indicates it has the GM V6 engine which was not well regarded compared to the venerable inline 6 4.0L which Jeep later introduced in the Cherokee. After closer inspection I noted that my model seems to have an error, the front and rear bumpers are interchanged making both license plates appear on the rear of the vehicle. I’m not sure how common this is, though had I noted it when I purchased it, I may have kept this one in the packaging and sought out another one to be part of my display set.
